I am Cathy-Eitel, a state certified French interpreter poised and prepared for all situations — stressful, solemn, or serene. Articulate and attentive, I strive for excellence every time.
With three degrees in law from three different continents, I understand how the different legal systems work in order to provide an accurate and faithful interpretation.
Since 2010, I have worked for many prestigious law firms around the world in which it has been my job role to provide remote video interpreting during meetings, and translate court and pleadings documents, as well as emails, faxes and letters.
But my hands-on experience in the legal sector goes much further back — all the way back to 2011.
Between 2011 and 2015, I provided interpreting for Crowell & Moring, LLP, where I served as an on-site interpreter for the firm, as well as for TransPerfect. My roles included providing interpretation during depositions and legal meetings and providing translation of legal documents to be used during hearing and immigration proceedings.
In 2013, I became a State Certified French Linguist for the Department of State, Washington, D.C., where I worked until 2018 with the Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute (FSI). That same year, I transitioned to a position as a French Language Developer for Central, Washington, D.C., before contracting at Day Translations, Inc and The Green Cross the following year.
